Refera Intelligence

Who this page is for: the practice manager who wants the current status of the Refera Intelligence concept and the boundaries that would apply to it.

The honest state, first: Refera Intelligence is planned. It is not active, sellable or enabled for real referral data. Nothing on this page is a claim that the feature is available; it records the bounded proposal.

Ask questions about your own captured referrals in plain language, and get answers computed from your records - with every answer citing the referral ids it came from, so you can open each one and check in a click:

  • Queue questions. “How many referrals arrived this week, and how many are still waiting on acceptance?”
  • Chase lists. “Which referrals have sat in received for more than five business days? Give me the list.”
  • Completeness summaries. “What arrived this month without a referral date or a Medicare number?”

Every answer is an administrative fact - counts, dates, process states, channels, referrer names, missing-detail flags. The same facts your queue and worklists already show, reached by asking instead of clicking.

The no clinical triage wall applies in full. Refera Intelligence answers from administrative fields only - clinical content is excluded from what the model is given, not merely from what it is asked. It never ranks patients, never suggests urgency or priority, never assesses anyone. Ask it a clinical question and it declines: Refera reports process state; it does not assess patients.

  • Proposed only on a pinned AWS Bedrock model in Sydney (ap-southeast-2) after the exact model, regional routing, retention, provider access, logging and fail-closed controls pass.
  • Only over your own tenant’s records. Every read is tenant-scoped; answers are checked against the records actually consulted before they are shown.
  • Never on a commodity model lane. The public site’s assistant answers product questions from public documentation and is a separate surface. Your referral data does not reach it, and Refera Intelligence has no fallback to it - if Bedrock is unavailable, the feature says so and stops.
  • No training on your data. Answers are grounded in your records per question; your data is not used to train any model.

There is no included allowance, paid add-on or published price today. Refera will add it to Pricing only after the feature and its patient-data controls are production-ready.

The Sydney model path, administrative-field boundary, cited-answer checks, tenant isolation, privacy review, patient-free evaluation, red-team pass, pricing and patient-data readiness controls must all clear before this can move from Planned. Refera will update the capability register and pricing page before it becomes available.

Refera tracks referral admin only. It does not triage patients.

Examples are fictional and contain no patient information. Practice staff approve every external action. Refera never auto-sends or independently contacts patients.
